Some of you might be wondering – what is a clubstock?

To do a clubstock means to fill up your club with one of each card that you can buy for minimum price, then selling when the items have gone up in value. There are many things that could be targeted during a clubstock, however, to perfect it you should know exactly what to aim for, when to buy into a clubstock and when to sell. The best part about a clubstock is that since most cards in the club have been bought for a minimum/close to discard price there is absolutely no risk of losing coins.

There are 4 main card types to target in a clubstock:

  • Gold Commons @ 300/350 coins
  • Gold Rares @ 650/700 coins
  • 81-84 Gold Rare Fodder cards @ varied prices
  • 81-84 rated TOTWs @ varied prices

The main focus with the Gold Commons and Rares is that you stock up on cards from the Top 5 Leagues (Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga, Ligue 1) to begin with and then expand your clubstock into other leagues. Next, focus on popular nations or an off-league which may have a content release upcoming. If an off-league has a derby match coming up, it could potentially be seen in a Marquee Matchups SBC set. Those could require players from that nation or league as requirements. Lastly, take a look at cards in positions which are used in all formations. Rule of thumb would be to aim for outfield players with CB/CM cards predominantly doing the best due to them fitting in every SBC.

TOTW cards can also be clubstocked throughout the FIFA cycle, especially at the early stages when the need for them as SBC requirement is nonexistent. 81-85 rated cards from good leagues and nations are the best value. Just store one of each in the club every week and forget about them. As time goes by cards get more and more rare and start to rise whenever there comes a TOTW requirement. However, in my opinion it is still a week or so too early to drop so many coins into fodder TOTW cards. We will visit those types of investments very soon.

When to clubstock and when to sell?

As long as you get your cards bought at minimum prices, that’s the right time to buy. Opposed to whenever certain cards can be sold for profit is the right time to sell.

Buy times:

Ideally are going to be during any weekly reward supply events. Just after Squad Battles, Division Rivals & FUT Champions rewards are given out and in addition to usual weekly promos happening on Friday evenings, the supply of Gold cards coming on the market outweighs the demand meaning you can get your clubstock done a lot quicker with less competition. With those supply events in mind we would target open bids. From just after rewards/supply comes on the market to around a couple hours after.

Sell times:

Whenever SBC content is released requiring certain cards such as Marquee Matchups, Puzzle SBCs, Upgrade SBCs to name a few. The trick is managing that Risk vs Reward factor. You could wait and hold on to your clubstock a little longer in the hope that cards rise even more. But most of the time if the profit is there – take it. There are always plenty of opportunities to clubstock throughout any week, so it is best to keep coins flowing at all times.

Why clubstocks work?

The method works throughout the FIFA cycle with EA really focusing on giving us more and more SBC content each year coupled with the fact that we are pushed towards untradable teams means that a lot of FIFA players clubs are predominantly empty, therefore the demand for cards to fill any SBCs are always going to be high.

With all of that in mind, let’s get into the Top moves for the upcoming Squad Battles supply which is now on Sunday mornings 9 AM UK time!

Last week we saw the release of the 78+ Rare Player Pick SBC which required:

  • 1x GK
  • 2x CMs
  • 2x CBs

After the release, most high rated non-rare Gold CBs with good links nearly doubled in price. It is very possible we might see another SBC like this in the next days. It is also possible there could be a shuffle in positions required, however, CBs are proven coin-makers and at 350-400 coins on bid, you simply cannot go wrong!

To start off your clubstock, take a look at these 3 filters:

TOP 5 League non-rare CBs 77+

TOP 7 Nation non-rare CBs 77+

Italian non-rare CBs 77+

Afterwards, expand your clubstock to Popular nation 77+ rated cards in other positions for 350 coins and you will be set for whatever content is released and hopefully sitting on some nice profits as the week progresses!
