fifaRAWR's Team of the Week Predictions Week 12 Part 2 - Rest of the World
Welcome back to Part 2 of this week’s TOTW Predictions, where we’ll be moving onto the rest of the world leagues! For those that missed Part 1, you can find it here or for those that don’t want to leave this page, I’ll quote the description of how my TOTW Predictions are going to work at this point in time.
“Anyways, lets explain how I’m going to initially set out my TOTW Predictions – any feedback is greatly appreciated but at this point in time I do believe comments are not available on this page so please do tweet me @fifaRAWR, that’d be much appreciated (cheeky plug #1). So what I plan to do is set up every TOTW Prediction each week into three different articles and in each of these I’ll go over every single potential in form from the various locations:
– One article for the five major European leagues (BPL, Bundesliga, Liga BBVA, Ligue 1, Serie A)
– One for the remaining rest of the world leagues
– One for showing you the final team, with reasoning as to, for example, why I chose one player over another or why so and so isn’t in my prediction.”
Now this part is going to be done a little bit differently to the previous part. I’ve made a team of just 18 players and these 18 players I feel are the most likely, at the moment, to be receiving an in form. However there’s still the remaining players on my shortlist, don’t worry I’ve not forgotten about them! Also centered pictures, display pictures and comments will be coming shortly!

Time to blast through these then. Ricardo was superb in goal for Academica de Coimbra as the home side achieved their first home win over Porto in 43 years in the league, the Portuguese shot stopper saving a penalty and making a few other crucial saves. Paul Caddis and Ricardo Van Rhijn, two full backs in the goals this weekend as the former scored a brace, including a penalty, in Birmingham’s 3-0 victory over bottom side Barnsley and the latter scored Ajax’s first as they breezed 4-0 past ADO Den Haag to ensure they remain two points behind leaders Chelsea reserves Vitesse. Brazilian champions Cruzeiro suffered only their second home defeat of the season, this time at the hands of Bahia, who themselves ensured a place in the Brazilian top flight next year with a 2-1 win; Bahia’s saviors however were centre-back Titi and Man of the Match Marcelo Lomba, who made nine outstanding saves. The final defender in the team is Kim Won Il, no not the deceased dictator, the Pohang Steelers central defender who scored a late winner, which also turned out to be the league-winning goal, against fellow championship contenders Ulsan Hyundai.
Mohamed Salah scored twice in five minutes for Basel in their 2-2 draw against Young Boys, the Egyptian winger had also netted against Chelsea in midweek and French midfielder Julien Gorius scored two second half goals as Genk beat OH Leuven 3-0. A trio of Spartak players now after their 6-1 drubbing of Volga, Alberto Costa, Jurado and Lucas Barrios the stars of the show, not forgetting the good performances of right winger Ozbiliz and ‘keeper Arytom Rebrov, who saved a second half penalty. Santos attacking midfielder Cicero scored twice as the Peixe came from 1-0 down against Copa Libertadores hopefuls Atletico-PR to win 2-1 as did Jens Toornstra, the Utrecht midfielder scored two second half goals to ensure the away side ran out 2-1 winners over Heracles. Colombian left midfielder Hernan Daniel Burbano scored one and assisted two more as Leon beat Morelia 4-0 on the night and 7-3 on aggregate to progress through to the Liga MX Apertura Semi-Finals.
RB Salzburg’s Manchester City-esque home form continued as they dispatched Ried 4-0, Kevin Kampl the man of the match, scoring two goals and assisting another; would make for a fine second in form card. Michy Batshuayi scored Standard Liege’s first two goals at they ran out 5-0 victors over Lierse, he also then went on to assist the third before being substituted prior to the fourth and fifth; Japanese ‘keeper Eiji Kawashami also saved a penalty in the second half for the away side. Penultimately, we’ve got bronze striker Riccardo Maniero who scored two and assisted another for Pescara and finally, Kim Dong Ki, who looks like one of the worst in forms I’ve ever seen, scored hat-trick from Gangwon at they beat Jeju United 3-0. Gangwon however will still have to go through a relegation play-off to ensure their first division status.
That concludes Part 2 of my TOTW Predictions for Week 12 of Ultimate Team 14, in the next part I shall unveling the final team later tonight!
