Part 1 of this week’s TOTW Predictions fellas, last weeks appeared to go down really well so hopefully this is just as successful. Part 2 shall be out shortly after midday (UK Time) on Tuesday with the final part out at 4-5pm on the same day. If you missed what this is all about, I’ll leave a link to last week’s Part 1 here where you can read about what is going down! Comments are up and running now, as should be most other features on this page so hopefully everything should be okay; remember to leave a comment on your thoughts, etc, would be much appreciated.

One final note is that there were NO LIGA BBVA games over the weekend, only Copa del Rey and seeing as Cup Competitions are NOT illegible for TOTW, there shall not be any Liga BBVA Players from those games in this TOTW. Let’s get cracking!

Potential In Forms | Week 13 | Barclays Premier League

http://www.futwiz.com/en/custom-squad/11785

GK: John Ruddy (Norwich) – 10 Saves, 2-0 vs West Brom (3 Goal, 78>80)

CB: Fabricio Coloccini (Newcastle) – Fantastic Performance, 1-0 vs Manchester Utd (4 Goal, 81>82)

CM: Yaya Toure (Manchester City) – 2 Goals, 3-2 vs West Brom (4 Goal, MIDWEEK, 86>87)

CM: Yohan Cabaye (Newcastle) – 1 Goal, 1-0 vs Manchester United (3.5 Goal, 82>83)

RW: Andre Schurrle (Chelsea) – 2 Goals, 2-3 vs Stoke (4.5 Goal, 82>83)

LW: Eden Hazard (Chelsea) – 2 Goals, 1 Assist, 4-3 vs Sunderland (4.5 Goal, MIDWEEK, 85>87)

ST: Luis Suarez (Liverpool) – 4 Goals, 1 Assist, 5-1 vs Norwich (5 Goal, MIDWEEK, 86>88)

Not the huge list of standouts you might expect in the Premier League this week given there were two rounds of fixtures, the only real standout ‘keeper is John Ruddy who made ten saves in Norwich’s 2-0 away win West Brom, yes they weren’t necessarily the hardest saves in the world but he still made them. Another “shock” away win occurred when Newcastle United traveled to Manchester United and inflicted the second home defeat on the Red Devils in a matter of days, the game finish 1-0, Yohan Cabaye Newcastle’s goalscorer but Fabricio Coloccini was also a wall at the back for Toon. Yaya Toure continued his fantastic start to the season with a brace, including a penalty, at West Brom in mid week; if City cancel our their defensive mistakes away from home I can see them just pipping Arsenal to the title this season. It’s not often a player on the losing side gets an in form, but that could certainly be the case for Andre Schurrle who scored two beauties in Chelsea’s 3-2 away loss at Stoke at the weekend, another Chelsea player that could certainly be in the TOTW is Eden Hazard who put in a world class performance, scoring two goals and getting an assist in mid week as Chelsea were this time on the correct end of a high scoring game, beating Sunderland 4-3. Finally we have one of the most in form players in the world at the moment, especially against Norwich… love him or hate him, there’s no denying Luis Suarez‘ incredible quality as he scored four goals, including an unbelievable volley from 40 yards over John Ruddy as well as teeing up Raheem Sterling in Liverpool’s 5-1 demolition of the Canaries at Anfield.

Potential In Forms | Week 13 | Bundesliga

http://www.futwiz.com/en/custom-squad/11724

GK: Bernd Leno (Leverkusen) – 5 Saves, 1-0 vs Dortmund (2 kicker, 80>82)

CB: Omer Toprak (Leverkusen) – Fantastic Performance, 1-0 vs Dortmund (1 kicker, 78>80)

CB: Ragnar Klavan (Augsburg) – Fantastic Performance, 1-0 vs Hamburg (2 kicker, 72>74)

RM: Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich) – 1 Goal, 2 Assists, 7-0 vs Werder Bremen (2 kicker, 85>86)

CM: Thiago (Bayern Munich) – Fantastic Performance, 7-0 vs Werder Bremen (1,5 kicker, 81>82)

CAM: Mario Gotze (Bayer Munich) – 1 Goal, 1 Assist, 7-0 vs Werder Bremen (2 kicker, 85>86)

CAM: Roberto Firmino (Hoffenheim) – 1 Goal, 1 Assist, 2-1 vs Frankfurt (2 kicker, 78>80)

LM: Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich) – 2 Goal, 2 Assists, 7-0 vs Werder Bremen (1 kicker, 90>91)

I’ll be honest, it is a very Bayern themed set of players but what do you expect given they scored seven?! Thomas Muller, despite not having the best performance as a whole grabbed himself a goal and a couple of assists, Thiago pulled the strings from midfield and was at the centre of what most Bayern did offensively, as well as doing his defensive duties and Mario Gotze also nabbed himself a goal, as well as an assist. However the star of the show, and Bundesliga Player of the Week, was Franck Ribery. The Frenchman scored twice as well as getting himself two more assists, which included the assist for Lukimya’s own goal. Bayer Leverkusen pulled off a fantastic win away at Dortmund, winning 1-0 as the home side continued to struggle in the absence of Hummels and Subotic and with Sokraits getting sent off, their defensive problems aren’t going to get any easier. Leverkusen mind, are definitely not having the same defensive issues; Omer Toprak was incredible at the heart of their defence and Bernd Leno was faultless in goal when called upon. Ragnar Klavan put in a fantastic shift for Augsburg as they beat a defensively awful Hamburg 1-0, whose poor home form continues and finally, Riberto Firmino; the Brazilian is having a huge season so far for free scoring (and conceding) Hoffenheim and he scored one and assisted another as the away side beat Eintracht Frankfurt, one of three Bundesliga sides who haven’t even won at home yet this season.

Potential In Forms | Week 13 | Ligue 1

http://www.futwiz.com/en/custom-squad/11660

GK: Geoffrey Jourdren (Montpellier) – 3 Saves, Pen Save, 1-1 vs Toulouse (7 L’Equipe, 76>78)

RB: Issa Cissokho (Nantes) – Great Performance, 1-0 vs Marseille (7 L’Equipe, 66>70)

CB: Ricardo Carvalho (Monaco) – Great Performance, 1-0 vs Ajaccio (7 L’Equipe, 77>79)

RM: Yann Jouffre (Lorient) – 2 Goals, 2-0 vs Rennes (8 L’Equipe, 75>77)

CDM: Landry N’Guemo (Bordeaux) – 1 Goal, 1-0 vs Lille (7 L’Equipe, 72>73)

ST: Zlatan Ibrahimovic (PSG) – 2 Goals, 2 Assists, 5-0 vs Sochaux (9 L’Equipe, 89>91)

Landry N’Guemo bought Lille’s clean sheet and unbeaten run to an end with a single goal, they’d been unbeaten in the league since mid-September and hadn’t conceded a single goal in that space of time too, a total of 1063 minutes, until N’Guemo’s strike. Ten men Toulouse were thwarted by Montpellier ‘keeper Geoffrey Jourdren who saved a 51st minute penalty from Israeli striker Eden Ben Basat to ensure the 2011/12 Champions left Toulouse with “un point”. Another Southern based side, Monaco, continued their four match winning streak with a 1-0 win over Ajaccio and Portugese defender Ricardo Carvalho was superb at the back for the Monegasque side. Marseille suffered their fourth home defeat of the season to Nantes who leapfrogged them in the process, right back Issa Cissokho was superb and kept Dimitri Payet at bay all game. Lorient, like Monaco, also won their fourth game in a row at the weekend as they beat Rennes 2-0. The visitors were reduced to ten men shortly after kick off as the former PSG defender Sylvain Armand was sent off for a proffessional foul, Yann Jouffre then slotted home the penalty as well as another shortly before full time. The Ligue 1 Player of the Week award though must go to Zlatan Ibrahimovic who scored two, including a bullet free kick, and assisted two more as PSG easily swept aside Sochaux 5-0.

Potential In Forms | Week 13 | Serie A

http://www.futwiz.com/en/custom-squad/11661

CB: Kamil Glik (Torino) – 1 Goal, 1-0 vs Lazio (4 Goal, 76>78)

CB: Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus) – 1 Goal, 2-0 vs Bologna (4 Goal, 86>87)

CAM: Goran Pandev (Napoli) – 2 Goals, 3-3 vs Udinese (4.5 Goal, 79>81)

LW: Gervinho (Roma) – 1 Assist, 2-1 vs Fiorentina (4.5 Goal, 79>81)

LW: Nicola Sansone (Parma) – 2 Goals, 3-3 vs Parma (4 Goal, 73>74)

ST: Rodrigo Palacio (Inter) – 2 Goals, 1 Assist, 3-3 vs Parma (4 Goal, 82>83)

ST: Marco Sau (Cagliari) – 2 Goals, 2-1 vs Genoa (4.5 Goal, 77>79)

ST: Mario Balotelli (Milan) – 2 Goals, 2-2 vs Livorno (4.5 Goal, 84>85)

31 goals in Serie A this weekend, not bad for a supposedly “boring” league. Two defenders which contributed to those 31 are the Turin based pair of Kamil Glik and Giorgio Chiellini. The Polish centre-back scored Torino’s goal in their 1-0 win over a faltering Lazio and the Italian scored Juventus’ second, a late header, in their 2-0 win over Bologna. Goran Pandev scored twice in a matter of minutes as Napoli drew in a six goal thriller with Udinese, taking his tally up to six for the season. Gervinho is another man up for a second in form card, despite only getting one assist in Roma’s 2-1 win over Fiorentina, he was a constant threat; whenever he got the ball, something happened. A fantastic performance from the winger and another left winger who put in a great performance is Italian Nicola Sansone, who scored a brace for Parma in their 3-3 against Inter Milan. Inter striker Rodrigo Palacio had a part to play in all three of their goals, scoring two and assisting the third in a fantastic performance. Another Milan based player who was fantastic at the weekend is Mario Balotelli, who scored a couple, including a fantastic free kick, for the red and black side of Milan as they drew 2-2 at Livorno. Finally we have Marco Sau, another Italian striker who added to his goal tally at the weekend. The Cagliari striker scored in the 76th and 90th minute as they came from behind to beat 10 men Genoa 2-1, would be a nice in form card too!

Part 2 and 3 out tomorrow!
