Potential In Forms | Week 15 | Barclays Premier League

RB: Seamus Coleman (Everton) – 1 Goal, 2-1 vs Swansea (72>73)

CM: Yohan Cabaye (Newcastle) – 1 Goal, 3-0 vs Crystal Palace (82>83)

CM: Jordan Henderson (Liverpool) – 2 Assists, 3-1 vs Cardiff (75>77)

ST: Luis Suarez (Liverpool) – 2 Goals, 1 Assist, 3-1 vs Cardiff (86>89)

ST: Danny Welbeck (Manchester Utd) – 1 Goal, 1 Assist, 3-1 vs West Ham (78>80)

ST: Peter Crouch (Stoke) – 1 Goal, 1 Assist, 2-1 vs Aston Villa (77>79)

ST: Emmanuel Adebayor (Spurs) – 2 Goals, 3-2 vs Southampton (80>81)

Everton right back Seamus Coleman continued his fantastic offensive form with a brilliant goal, the Toffees went to Wales and snatched a 2-1 win thanks to a Ross Barkley free kick, but Coleman got the ball rolling with an awesome long range effort. Yohan Cabaye was another player to score his sides first goal in a victory, this time Newcastle made the long trip to South London where they were rewarded with a 3-0 win over Crystal Palace as Cabaye dominated proceedings. Now the next three may look a bit similar, yes, Luis Suarez, Jordan Henderson and Danny Welbeck were all in my Premier League candidates last week but none of them made it into the final team. Suarez scored another couple of goals, both of which were assisted by Jordan Henderson, and himself assisted a Raheem Sterling goal as Liverpool brushed aside Cardiff 3-1 and Danny Welbeck scored his third in two games as well as assisting Adnan Januzaj’s great goal in Manchester United’s 3-1 win over a poor West Ham side. The towering, but slender figure of Peter Crouch was key in both of Stoke’s goals as they beat Aston Villa 2-1, scoring one and assisting the other and Emmanuel Adebayor scored twice for Spurs as they beat the Saints 3-2 in a thrilling encounter at St. Mary’s

ST: Admir Mehmedi (Freiburg) – 2 Goals, 2-1 vs Hannover (68>72)

A rare Bundesliga 0-0 draw between Nurnberg and Schalke was kept goalless thanks to Schalke keeper Ralf Fahrmann, who made four fantastic saves but did have to thank the crossbar for saving him on one occasion. Werder Bremen ended their bad run with a 1-0 win over second place Bayer Leverkusen, Santiago Garcia may have scored the goal but Austrian centre half, Sebastian Prodl, was the rock at the heart of their defence. Sami Allagui scored one and assisted another to inflict another defeat upon Dortmund, their fourth in six games as they slipped down to fourth, below Borussia Monchengladbach who themselves took a point away from a tough game against Wolfsburg which ended a 2-2, Brazilian Raffael the star for Monchengladbach. The Japanese Shinji Okazaki was Bundesliga Player of the Week, as he scored twice and assisted once as Mainz beat a defensively woeful Hamburger SV 3-2 away from home and finally Admir Mehmedi, the young Swiss striker scored twice in a rare win for Freiburg.

ST: Diego Costa (Atl Madrid) – 2 Goals, 3-2 vs Levante (83>85)

Quite a few good performances in La Liga this weekend and for the second week in a row, we start off with Almeria’s ‘keeper Esteban; the veteran made eight more saves as Almeria beat basement Betis 1-0 away from home. Another win for Atletico Madrid at the weekend, this one not quite as routine as normal as they battled to a 3-2 win over Levante; right back Juanfran provided two assists and Diego Costa continued his unbelievable form, scoring two more goals and taking his tally to 23 in all competitions. The Espanyol duo of Stuani and Victor Sanchez were fantastic as the hosts beat Valladolid 4-1 in Barcelona, both players had a part to play in all four goals, the former scored twice and the latter scored one and set up another. Real Sociedad’s two wingers, Antonie Griezmann and Carlos Vela were again instrumental in Sociedad’s 3-1 win over Granada. The Mexican scored twice and the Frenchman, he added to his already impressive goalscoring tally for the season with another goal as well as an assist. The fourth and final duo of this section is the Barcelona duo of Pedro and Cesc Fabregas, Barca who were without Messi and Neymar to had to come from 2-0 down but eventually ran out comfortable 5-2 winners. Pedro scored the initial three in the comeback as well as assisting one of Fabregas’ two, his other being from the penalty spot.

Struggling Valenciennes shocked Ligue 1 this weekend after taking three points from Monaco, Radamel Falcao also missed a penalty for the home side as Nicolas Penneteau and Valenciennes came out on top. A top of the table clash between Lille and PSG ended all square and despite not keeping a clean sheet, Czech centre back David Rozehnal was superb at the back for the visitors. Another draw which had defenders to blame for neither side taking all three points was Bastia vs Montpellier, left back Julian Palmieri was superb for Bastia both offensively and defensively and veteran Brazilian Hilton was fantastic for the away side in defence. Nice had left midfielder Eric Bautheac for their second win in a row, the wide man scored twice in a 3-1 win over Evian and the 6’2 frame of Gaeten Charbonnier contributed to three of the four goals Reims stuck past Ajaccio, scoring twice and assisting one more.
