Apologies for no Parts 1 and 2 this week, have been having massive fits of can’t be bothered this weekend so you’ll just have to make do with a final team this week. Limited games again over the past 7 days, have taken some of New Year’s Day’s Premier League games as well as this weekend’s La Liga and Serie A action and of course the remaining games from across the globe. Drop a comment if you have any feedback, remember to follow FUTWIZ and myself on twitter and I’ll leave a short write up on this week’s (and it’s a very good week) highest quality players!

Juventus now sit eight points clear at the top of Serie A after inflicting nine men Roma’s first defeat of the season upon them. Roma had started the game on top, putting Juventus under pressure and making veteran shot stopper Gianluigi Buffon work on a couple of occasions before Arturo Vidal and Leonardo Bonucci put the hosts 2-0 up. Two red cards and a penalty in the space of 90 seconds left Roma in tatters, first Daniele De Rossi was sent off for an appalling tackle on Giorgio Chiellini, who had been fantastic in defence for Juventus, and then Leandro Castan was sent off little over a minute later for a deliberate handball on the line; Mirko Vucinic converted the resulting spot kick to send The Old Lady to a 3-0 victory.

Brazilian attacking midfielder Kaka scored his 100th and 101st AC Milan goals in their 3-0 win over Atalanta, he’d put the Rossoneri 2-0 up and cruising with those landmark goals before teeing up youngster Bryan Cristante for his first senior goal in Milan colours.

The Premier League duo of Oscar and Daniel Agger had fantastic a New Year’s Day for their respective clubs. The Brazilian may have made some headlines for the wrong reason after a shocking dive shortly after coming on as a sub against Southampton, but he swiftly made amends with assists for both Torres and Willian before scoring a goal of his own. Agger, he scored Liverpool’s first as they beat Hull 2-0 in what was their 9th home win of the season; Luis Suarez also scored a magnificent free kick in the second half.

Finally we have one of the most in form players in the world at the moment, Alexis Sanchez, and the Chilean scored his 9th, 10th and 11th La Liga goals of the season as Barcelona swept Elche aside 4-0. His 11th was a magnificent curling free kick and as long as Messi is not 100% fit, Barca will most definitely need Sanchez among others to fire this season.
