Player of the Month Prediction — September 2025 (Premier League)

September was kinda mid in Premier League and it’s kinda easy to predict this time POTM, but still let’s go with a flow and describe a lot of players, so everyone can be involved.
This time we’ll surely get a POTM card, first in new FUT, so let’s hope it’ll be a good one.
Erling Haaland (Manchester City)
Haaland continued his electric scoring form through September. In the big 5–1 win over Burnley , he netted two late goals, taking his league tally higher and underlining his ruthless edge. Earlier in the month, in the Manchester derby, he also bagged a brace — proving once again that he delivers when it matters most. And he also scored vs Arsenal in 1-1 draw.
Haaland’s POTM should be very expensive for most of us, as his NIF card is around 200k, while his POTM is 600k. I expect POTM to be around 600k.
Gabriel Magalhães (Arsenal)
Gabriel’s most decisive moment came late in the month. In Arsenal’s trip to Newcastle on 28 September, the Brazilian centre-back powered home a 96th-minute header to secure a dramatic 2–1 victory. That goal, his only strike in September, was as valuable as any forward’s tally — keeping Arsenal right in the title race. Apart from that goal – Arsenal was solid vs Forest and kept CS and was alright vs City, even tho he got beaten by Haaland.
Still, his NIF is cheap, and his potential POTM would be quite nice, if they give him a proper pace upgrade. But don’t think he wins it.
Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth)
Semenyo showed his growing importance to Bournemouth’s attack. On 13 September, in the 2–1 win over Brighton, he coolly converted a penalty and later assisted the winning goal — directly involved in both strikes that day.
Two weeks later, against Leeds on 27 September, he produced a stunning free-kick in a 2–2 draw His September line: 2 goals + 1 assist, making him one of the month’s most decisive wide forwards outside the “big six.”
His IF is pretty cool and cheap card, with potential POTM it can be improved in every area and be a strong cheapish option. Shouldn’t be more than 60k with 85 rating.
4. Yankuba Minteh (Brighton & Hove Albion)
Minteh, the young Gambian winger, had his breakout month in Brighton colours. In the 2–2 draw with Tottenham , he opened the scoring with a sharp finish. Then, in the 3–1 comeback win at Chelsea, he played provider — assisting in the crucial rally that stunned Stamford Bridge. And also did get an assist in a defeat vs Brighton
Very cheap and pacy option for your starter squads, shouldn’t be more than 30k, should be around 83 rated to be useful. Nice and cheap, but don’t think he wins.
Jaidon Anthony (Burnley)
Anthony has been Burnley’s surprise bright spark this season. He struck in a 1–1 draw with Nottingham Forest, showing calm finishing under pressure. A week later, in the heavy defeat to Manchester City, he again found the net — Burnley’s lone scorer in that match.
Very rough inclusion of him, but I decided to honor (plus other options were even weaker tbh). Should be the cheapest nominee. Overall, I don’t know if he’ll be nominated. But let’s see.
Ryan Gravenberch (Liverpool)
Liverpool’s Dutch midfielder stepped up in the Merseyside derby , producing his most complete display in red. He opened the scoring with a precise half-volley and later assisted the decisive second goal, sealing a 2–1 win over Everton.
Hard to include him, but even in a defeat vs Palace he was good and overall most stable Liverpool player this month. His potential POTM would be 87 and would be rather expensive, considering his IF is so good.
Marc Guehi (Crystal Palce)
Guéhi delivered a huge performance in September. He played a key role in the 2-1 win vs Liverpool , providing the assist via a long throw that Eddie Nketiah converted in stoppage time to seal Palace’s win. His defensive work throughout month was also impressive: aerial duels, last-ditch blocks, and organising the Palace back-line under pressure. Overall, couldn’t find exactly 1 Palace player that performed the best, but Guehi was my option. Let’s see if i’m right or wrong.
Comparison & Prediction
Player – September 2025 (Premier League only):
- Haaland — 5 goals (two braces vs United & Burnley)
- Gabriel — 1 goal (96′ winner vs Newcastle)
- Semenyo — 2 goals + 1 assist
- Yankuba Minteh — 2 goals + 1 assist
- Jaidon Anthony — 2 goals
- Ryan Gravenberch — 1 goal + 1 assist
- Marc Guehi – 1 assist (96′ winner vs Liverpool)
My POTM (September) Prediction: Erling Haaland
No surprises — Haaland’s September was as dominant as it gets. Two braces in 3 fixtures, 1 goal in an important game vs Arsenal , and the ability to tilt matches on his own. If the panel values sheer output, he’s the clear choice.
But credit is due elsewhere: Semenyo’s all-action contributions, Anthony’s goals in a struggling side, and Gravenberch’s derby heroics all make for intriguing alternatives. Gabriel’s late header also stands out for drama, but Haaland feels inevitable.
